Ranbir Kapoor's world tour postponed: All the hullaballoo about Ranbir Kapoor setting off on a grand musical world tour with a bevy of Bollywood beauties, including Katrina Kaif, has come to a naught.

For the Kapoor laddie, slated to trot the globe in summer this year, has now postponed the tour to 2012 despite several marquee names like Katrina, Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora in the troupe.

The reason for the postponement of the tour, we hear, is that Ranbir feels he still doesn’t have enough ammo in his repertory of songs.

What he wants is to include the songs of his upcoming film Rockstar, by Imtiaz Ali, in the concerts. But that can’t be possible before the film’s release.

Remember the electrifying on-stage performances Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal gave after the success of Rock On!? Ranbir, who plays a rockstar in Ali’s film, apparently wants to replicate the same magic, but for that he would have to wait until Rockstar hits the theatres later this year.

So, as things stand now, the much touted world tour of Ranbir has been postponed. It will happen in 2012.

Upset Ranbir to confront Deepika

The past few weeks has seen Ranbir Kapoor at the receiving end of venomous barbs.

Ranbir, apparently, is very upset with such rumors being fed to the media and wants to trace the source. According to him, the fountainhead of all these ugly rumours are sources close to Deepika. The worst part is that calls and even SMSes sent to DP are leaked to the press, making it seem as if he is chasing her all over again.

Ranbir wants to confront Deepika and reportedly, a meeting between the two ex lovers is on the cards.
Says a source, “Ranbir wants to nail the leak”. Someone’s definitely planting stories against him and he is very angry. But he would like to give Deepika the benefit of doubt.”

Ranbir and Deepika have been in touch ever since their break up. The two even gave each other a warm hug in the studio corridor of Koffee With Karan. Though DP and RK are making enough efforts to appear cordial with each other, constant media mud-slinging is taken a toll on their friendship.

I have to say it has to be the director Raji (Rajkumar Santoshi) he is an actor’s director. And I felt that the role was something unusual.

Tell us something about Ranbir which you learnt while for shooting this film?

He is very talented. There is never a dull moment when he is around. He tries to keep the atmosphere on the sets very positive and never lets anyone feel low.

tell us three things about Katrina that no one knows?

I love doing nothing and create movies in my head when I’m traveling in the car, sit and make stories in my head, long romantic stories. I just love hanging around with people who can make me laugh.

Bollywood News - Bollywood Star - Ranbir Kapoor believes in quiet celebrations

As Ranbir Kapoor turns 27, he has double reasons to celebrate as his birthday week will also see his much-awaited film ‘Wake Up Sid’ hit the screens. However, Ranbir does not believe in partying hard for his B’day and he intends to keep the celebration very quiet and subtle.

Elaborating on his birthday plans, Ranbir said, “I will be having a quiet dinner with my parents. My sister Riddhima and my brother-in-law Bharat are traveling this year. I’m a shy guy and I normally like having an intimate celebration rather than something ostentatious.”

He adds, “I’m not one of those guys for surprise parties. I feel awkward. I have no idea what Deepika has planned for me. I haven’t seen her for a few days because I have been in Bhopal and she was in Mumbai. However, I hope it isn’t too big a surprise because even she knows how reserved I am.”

Of course, he does not forget to mention his forthcoming release and says, “The best gift I can ask for this year is that everyone goes to see my film. I don’t know how to hardsell myself or my film but I can surely request people to see it.”
