Samantha Prabhu and Sameera Reddy roped for Gautham's film Erra Gulabeelu

Samantha and Sameera Reddy has been roped in for Gautham Menon’s next film. The movie is now titled as ‘Erra Gulabeelu’ and is said to be made as a true thriller with neither songs nor any commercial elements in the film.

Erra Gulabeelu is being simultaneously picturised along with the Tamil version. Telugu version of the film is being produced by Ashok Vallabhaneni under Mana Desam movies banner. Manoj Paramahamsa is handling the cinematography. Gautham Menon has earlier given hits for both the leading ladies, ‘Surya S/o Krishnan’ for Sameera and ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ for Samantha. Hope the history repeats with this film too.

Sameera Reddy visit to Patna was her worst experience

Sameera Reddy who is busy with Gowtham Menon’s ‘Nadunishi Naigal’ visited Patna last weekend. This is her first visit to this place where she encountered the worst experience of her life when she was almost caught in the mob fury that broke out during a show on Sunday.

Close to two lakh people were gathered at Gandhi Maidan, the venue of the event and the actress and her troupe were waiting at the backstage when she came to know of commotion in the crowd. The mob went out of control and were breaking chairs, pelting stone and setting the barricades on fire. The Organizers told Sameera Reddy to leave the premises immediately and she was rushed out of the venue with a veil in a manage committee small car to keep her identity secret The actress had a sleepless night and was very much scared.

Sameera Reddy surprise birthday celebration party in Mumbai

Sameera Reddy was to have celebrated her birthday (Dec 14) in Chennai on the sets of her untitled film with Vishal directed by Prabhu Deva. However Prabhu Deva gave her a break from the shoot so that she could fly to Mumbai and take part in a  “surprise birthday celebration” party which was being arranged by her parents and friends.

Sameera tweeted “Just landed from Chennai back to Mumbai. Good to be back home for my birthday.” About working with Prabhu Deva, the actress tweeted “He is such an awesome director. He insisted I be home with family today. My mom and dad are thrilled.”

‘Kanjeevaram’, under the direction of Priyadarshan, won the award for the best film and also the best actor for Prakash Jha at the 55th National Film Awards. The unit threw a celebration party on Tuesday evening and a host of celebrities joined in the success bash despite the sudden heavy downpour. The eminent guest list included Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Chunkey Pandey, Urvashi Sharma, Sameera Reddy, Om Puri and Paresh Rawal.

However, what caught our attention was the fact that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif arrived separately for the party. While Katrina was accompanied by designer Rocky S., Salman came in a separate car. So do we sniff another splitville here?

Sameera was the show-stopper for Neeta Lulla’s bridal collection and she made the head turns as she sashayed the ramp in a red lehenga.

“I think Neeta’s Indian wear rocks and when I get married she is going to make me the best bridal outfit ever. It’s going to be the style statement of the century,” said Sameera.

Minissha Lamba show-stopped for designer duo Monapali and she had loads of praises for the KFW as she was seen attired in a traditional embroidered ghagra-choli.

“There’s been an astronomical change in the KFW event in just six months time. It’s transformed a lot from the maiden KFW show (held in April),” said Minissha adding, ”This time I can see that it’s more professional and equivalent to any fashion show held in Mumbai or New Delhi. It’s as good and organised as that.”
