Vidya Balan to get ready for Ekta's Ragini MMS

Vidya Balan to get ready for Ekta's Ragini MMS: Vidya Balan is getting bolder, surely if her choice of roles is to go by.

The buzz is that Vidya has all but agreed to play the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s film Ragini MMS, which is a based on a bold subject and will have many explicit scenes. In fact, Kapoor had previously talked with Kangana Ranaut for the role, but the actress had chickened out as she wasn’t in the mood to do something so bold.

Now, Vidya is Ekta’s best bet. Why? Because Vidya is already acting in Dirty Picture, which is based on the life of the south sex bomb Silk Smitha.

The spokesperson for Ekta’s company has refused to confirm or deny the fact that Vidya has been approached, which means a deal is indeed in the works.

Vidya Balan Is Modern Age Woman

Vidyabalan

Vidya Balan says that she is very proud of being a modern age woman. And in the words of the actress, a modern age woman is one who takes care of her personal and professional lives with equal ease. Therefore for the actress, a personal choice cannot collide with her professional commitments.

Indeed, who would like to think about Vidya Balan retiring from the Bollywood screen after she has delivered such wonderful performances in her recent releases Ishqiya and Paa. Her fans are looking forward to Vidya Balan’s upcoming Bollywood release No One Killed Jessica, a film in which she has completely shed her sensual avatar.

Vidya Balan has experienced the highs and lows in her career, what with critics continually panning her sense of fashion. But this too has taken a backseat after the actress has become the favorite child of designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. So as Vidya Balan is enjoying a high in her career, the audience too is enjoying watching her onscreen

Vidya Balan Acting Real Life Characters

Vidya Balan has played the character of Sabrina Lall, the elder sister of Delhi based Jessica Lall, who was murdered on April 29, 1999 in the movie No One Killed Jessica. The 32-year-old actress is also set to play the South actress Silk Smitha’s character in Milan Luthria directed film ‘A Dirty Picture’. Vidya will be playing the hot seductive actress Smitha, who acted in more than 200 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.

Now, the latest reports suggest that the simple and sweet looking Vidya has now got the offer to play the yesteryear classic Bollywood beauty Madhubala, who died of serious illness at only 36 years of age. Everyone is aware of the fact that dancing diva Madhuri Dixit is often considered to be the best actress to play Madhubala. It is because of her close similarity with the actress and her dancing talent. Madhuri has now almost left Bollywood and she has become 43! So, the makers have probably settled on Vidya Balan, who is the most suitable actress to play Madhubala from this generation and age is also not a bar in her case.

Earlier in 2009, there was a buzz that director Shashanka Ghosh is planning a film based on the love story of Kishore Kumar and Madhubala. He was supposed to have considered Balan’s name for playing Madhubala whereas Aamir Khan was supposed to play the legendary singer Kishore Kumar. Moreover, she has got the experience of playing real life characters so people can easily identify with her in such roles. We hope she takes up the challenging job and after so many years we can revive the memories of Madhubala!
