Iran Singapore Football Match 2010 - Green Iranians in National Stadium of Singapore

Iranian football team had a match with Singapore Yesterday. more than 4000 Iranians gathered in Singapore not to actually only cheer for their football team, but to actually support the Green Movement & Support the Democracy Movements of Iran.
They were saying slogans of "Death to Dictator" and sending messages for Mousavi (The one who was supposed to win election against Ahmadinejad)

A Trip to Cameron Highlands

Malaysia has many different categories of attractions. One of them are highlands which are really joyful for visiting while you are spending time in a tropical all year round- summer country.

Cameron Highland is located almost hours driving from Kuala Lumpur toward north of KL. Its a great place for those who love to visit different plantations and farms like: strawberries, flowers & tea farms. There are lots of different type of places to stay around, ranges from expensive hotels to very cheap and budget houses and villas & apartments.
We spent about 24 hours around and I believe it was enough for this time. The temperature was around 17-18 degree daytime, and 10-12 degree at night time which was a bit cold and I liked after living more than two years in the humid always hot "KL". Here are some pictures of our 24 hours trip to Cameron Highlands:

Poker in Casino Genting

I’m not a gambler nor a casino lover or anything like this However I like to play poker. Gambling is absolutely illegal in Malaysia except one specific spot called: “Genting Casino”

Genting Casino is located on hills with a distance of about 1 hour driving from Kuala Lumpur & perhaps there were only a pressure from Chinese Malaysians and as a tourist attraction that Malaysia has this place; Like in Dubai which basically there is no casino in Dubai but there are some specific spots for very rich individuals who can play.

Genting has got many other attractions rather than casinos, like: Theme parks, shopping malls, hotels, Skyway (Cable Car) & ... They have estimated that each year almost 19 million people visit Genting Highland.

This weekened, there is poker tournament in Genting Casino & am on it. So, wish me luck!

This weekened, there is poker tournament in Genting Casino & am on it. So, wish me luck!

North of Iran

Iran's nature is full of differentiation and variation. Iranian call it a four season country which may not be easily found around the world.

Tehran-the capital- is a huge city both by population and area. around ten million people are living in Tehran and by my knowledge it takes about 2 hours to cross Tehran from east to west, light traffic.

The most famous spot for holidays and vacations for these people who live in Tehran, is the lovely shores of the Caspian sea in north of Iran. ]t usually takes about 3-4 hours to arrive there by car & its somehow a very normal driving for a "Tehrani"!!! Because many of them make this trip once or twice a month. Passing through Alborz Mountains by four possible roads, each one ends to a different city of north of Iran:
1. Chalus Road
2. Haraz Road
3. Firuzkuh Road
4. Rasht Highway


There are two provinces of Iran alongside the whole Caspian sea shores and the area is filled by green forests & rice farms and the highest level of humidity in the country. Winter time is usually rainy and the possibility of snow is very low. (only on highlands)

McDonald Varies !

Within the past two years am living in Malaysia, I have noticed that McDonald is really different in every country. Although here in Malaysia its O.K but I remember Cyprus McDonald was much better in quality & more expensive of course.

McDonald have a system of localizing at least one food in every country in its menu. Here in Malaysia they call it "Ayam Goreng" & its really something out of McDonald Specialty because its not a burger, its chicken piece & its more like KFC stuff, anyway people buy it a lot here.
By the time I was in Cyprus, they had something called Greek Big Mac & it was Big Mac wrapped in pita bread!
I checked some other countries McDonald webiste & I found out every ever is having something special. Like in Turkey they had something strange in menu: Kofteh Burger! Kofteh was a totally different food from Turkey, How it may come in Burger??? How does it taste? I don't know?

In Japan , they had something like schenitzel chicken piece. I checked China, Argentina, Greece & ... It's interesting to see how different people of the world are being treated by McDOnald.

First days of driving in Kuala Lumpur was so difficult for me. I guess this is the same problem that most of the people who are new to this town have.


KL has a general round shape which by this, I mean Kuala Lumpur streets are not straight. As you may see in a street that KL Tower is just in front of you, so you may guess that's it! I get this street & go forward till I reach to KL Tower; But you are absolutely wrong. You will be lost somewhere totally misplaced. even having a map or something does not help that much since you are driving and don't have time to look at it all times.
My own city-Tehran- has a very simple route. To any direction is the street, you will end up by the same direction. If you are heading north, it means you are going to north. Simple!

So, after a while and getting lost for a few times in KL, I preferred to pay more than 500 RM & buy a simple GPS for my car to navigate me in this complicated city. Thanks to ebay Malaysia for providing me a cheap GPS!

Perhentian Island of Malaysia (A Paradise Island)

It's time to tell about one of my best trips in Malaysia. It was last August as my family came to Malaysia to visit us, so we had a chance to make a family trip and go all together to a fascinating spot called "Perhentian Island".

The island is located on north east of the western Malaysia. It's about 7 hours of driving from Kuala Lumpur & then we had to take a small ferry to the island which will take about an hour. This island is more natural than Tioman since there are no roads or cars or even mobile signal. So, you are gonna be far from anything for a few days and its wonderful. The first moment we arrive by the coast of our Chalet, I couldn't believe the crystal waters and how easily I could see all the fishes & corals even at more than 10 meters depth.
Diving & Snorkeling is mostly what you should spend your days over there and almost avoid sun bathing due to very strong possibility of burning your skin. The nature is beautiful with the island fully covered with forests, an island which is totally about 10 Km2 ; It's actually 2 separated islands.
There are no luxury hotels or resorts here in Perhentian & its mostly chalets. Food & beverages are not that expensive as in entire Malaysia it is not, however in the island slightly more expensive. You can buy a few can of beer like us, before you get to the boat coming to island since its gonna be only 1.5 USD per can of beer and the same thing in the island is actually double price.
If you are not a professional diver, 2-3 nights would be enough to enjoy the serenity of the island although there are diving classes with international certificate which you can take within the course of your stay at the island.
I'm really planning to go there again, since I didn't like any other island more than this.
